I just need to know some good stress relief. I’ve got unfair and overprotective parents, a pain-in-the-!@# 3 year old sister, lots of school, and alot more stuff, and all of it is very stressful. What are some good stress relief things that i can do, so that I’m not so stressed. And also as a side question, is stress bad for the body?
Get all your homework done before going to bed. You will sleep better and have no stress in class.
Your little sister is innocent. You should be her guardian, confidant and protector.
More exercise will also alleviate stress. Good time of the year for bike riding. Areas off public roads are best, like the park.
Life is not free. Try for a more helpful attitude. If you drop resentment, anger, fear and other mis-emotions you will experience great relief.
Nothing is perfect here. If you do not expect perfection you will never be disappointed. Some perfect things turn up anyway!
The most stressful is to accept responsibility for others, but that probably does not apply in your case.
I mention it, though, because it applies to your parents. They can never drop responsibility for you and your little sister, and a lot of other things.
They are doing the pedaling, all of it. The times are hard economically and difficult in other ways. But they cannot stop and take a one month break.
As you have no experience coping with everything as they must, you must defer to their experience and try to be more helpful.
Getting over your stress is part of that. You do not always get what you want. There is a song about that.
Ask God for guidance, learn to find inner peace. That music you listen to may be another factor. Here’s a relaxing hymn for you:

When everyone pulls their weight, when all members of family stand, that family is able to survive whatever comes.
This is how we avoid becoming a head case. No one likes them. Always needing others’ help, a limp fish. These sometimes turn to drinking.
Make sure you don’t marry one like that, no matter how good looking.

There are many different ways to relieve your stress, but I would start with re-evaluating why you let yourself get so stressed and try to find a solution.
Do you like to write? Keep a journal, or just use one to vent. When you get really frustrated, take the situation and turn it into a comical short story. Walking and jogging, working out, singing, laughing (watch a funny movie or read a funny book) are all great ways to relieve stress. Do you have a dog…take him/her for a long walk. Volunteer somehwere…it’s take away your stress and you’ll feel very good.

exersize helps. so does making sure you have proper nutrition. b vitamins in particular help with stress. maybe consider starting to take a supplement/multivitamin if you don’t already.
also i like using a sleep spray by earth therapeutics. it has lavender, chamomile, orange oil & some other natural stress relievers in it. it smells so good. It really works to calm you down. it’s called sleep spray but it doesn’t make me sleepy. what it does is calm me down so it is easier for me to fall asleep. so i use it at night but i also use it when i feel tense or worked up about something. it really helps. they sell it at kohl’s dept stores if you are interested in checking it out.
sometimes just talking about your problems helps dealing with them a lot. talk to your friends about it, maybe it’ll help a little. hope you find something that helps
