I admit, I haven’t been on in a while, but it’s just wow! I can like get myself something good to eat amd sit here for hours just reading other peoples problems trying to help out, it’s also a lot of fun things to read here, and you learn a lot. I really appreciate this website, it gives me time to set me into problems that for once aren’t mine, gives me something else to think of than school. Great stress relief from my point of view, do you share the same opinion?
I agree. I really, really appreciate this site. Whenever I’m anxious or feeling sick, it distracts me. When I’m sad, I try to help others and it makes me feel better. When I ask a question and get an answer, it makes me super happy, and it makes me even happier to answer someone else’s question and hope that I’m brightening their day, too. Offering my advice and experiences really makes me feel like I’m doing something good for someone else. And I like that feeling.

i totally agree.! i thought about it, and at first it seems weird that it was a way to ease stress, but i came to a conclusion as to why. i don’t know about you, but i struggle with multiple anxiety disorders, depression, mild ocd…ect. and this website makes me realize that i’m not alone, and that there actually are people on here that want to help (people like you). so i too, love to help people with their issues because it’s pretty much guarenteed that i’ve been through it. but anyway, i too love this website, and especially this section. it really does help. and i do care about the people who come to this section for help.

I don’t know. To be honest, I’m not sure why I keep coming back to Yahoo Answers. Sometimes, it does feel good to try to help other people. And it can be fun and interesting. But other times, it can also be extremely frustrating and aggravating. Especially when you try to help someone and you take the time to write a long, detailed answer and the asker never picks a Best Answer. Then you look at their Q&A, and ALL the answers in their questions went to voters. It really makes me wonder if the asker is even reading the answers. I don’t care if they don’t pick my answer…just as long as they choose SOMEONE, so at least we know they are actually reading the answers to their questions. Otherwise, I feel like I’m just wasting my time and I’m being used.
I usually hang out in the Photography category. But I’m going through some problems right now. I’ve had problems with depression off and on ever since I was a kid, and I’m going through some problems again right now. So I started coming here, and it does kind of help to talk with people here and to try to help other people, since I know what they’re going through.

Absolutely. reading abt other’s problems helps me count my blessings. And helping people in a small way gives me a lot of satisfaction. when people reply to my Qs & make comments on my answers I feel I am part of a large community.& don’t feel lonely at all. So I agree with you.
